Baptize Me

Acts 8:34-39
New King James Version (NKJV)
34 So the eunuch answered Philip and said, “I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?” 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. 36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?”

37 Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.”

And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”[a]

38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. 39 Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.

I love baptism services, whether in the church baptistry or outdoors.  It's just good to witness and to celebrate a believer's declaration of their salvation through Jesus Christ.  Is it necessary for salvation?  No. But don't let anyone or anything hinder you from being baptized.  Step out in obedience and do what Jesus Himself did.  I suspect He yet enjoys a good baptismal service.
"Baptize Me in the River (Acoustic)" - Robbie Seay Band

Baptize me in the river
Wash all my sins away
Baptize me in the river
Let there be no delay

Gather 'round all my family
Preacher man let it be
Baptize me in the river
Praise the Lord I am free

Hallelujah, Hallelujah I am free
Hallelujah, I was blind now I can see
Hallelujah to the King of Kings
Baptize me in the river
Praise the Lord I am free

Baptize me in the river
Lord knows I'm coming home
Baptize me in the river
Lord Ive been gone too long
Gather 'round all you sinners
Saints and preacher too
Baptize me in the river
Lord I'm coming home to You

Hallelujah, hallelujah I am free
Hallelujah, I was blind now I can see
Hallelujah to the King of Kings
Baptize me in the river
Praise the Lord I am free

Come to the river
Lay your burdens down
Come to the river and sing
