Mark 4:37-39
King James Version (KJV)
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
John 1:16
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
16 For of His fullness [a]we have all received, and [b]grace upon grace.
In a storm and tossed about I am still a receiver of God's great grace. It's a truth that's hard to hang onto when I'm clutching at any and all life preservers being tossed my way, even the ones that have no hope of floating. It's only His grace that keeps me afloat. It's only His grace that preserves my life.
