I read the words tonight, "They didn't bow. They didn't bend. They didn't burn." and wondered who wrote them. They just sounded so good that I wish it had been me. As it turns out it was from a country song, "The Fourth Man In the Fire." My husband, looking over my shoulder as I added the words to the image above, immediately started singing, and declared it a Statler Brother's song. I was already enamored of the Johnny Cash version, however, but in fairness to my husband, a bass singer, I decided to listen to both. Enjoy.
