18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

It is possible to get along with one another!  The Bible tells me so.  I should say that it is possible if I choose to love others as Christ has loved me, even if they don't think like me, don't look like me, or act like me.  It's not too hard to do, either, even though it can feel ever so hard at times.  Just suck it up and love, remembering the One who loved us all the way to the cross.

Love Never Fails

This morning our new 90-year-old friend called and asked if the young man who doesn't want to be mentioned in this blog could help him with a power point presentation.   He did even though it meant a small sacrifice on his part, a delay in going to a friend's house.  Later that friend helped him and his father push our car that's not running back to our house.   I was still home sick and missed the generations of men coming down our road but it must have been quite a sight!   I was told that at least one other man, seeing this, offered to help.   By loving one another they loved God and demonstrated that love to others.   Cars will fail but God's love never fails.   Now it's time to pray for a cheap mechanical fix for the car and/or a miraculous recovery.
