The Prophet Amos
Amos 5:24 English Standard Version (ESV)
24 But let justice roll down like waters,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
I've stopped to read the speech by Martin Luther King, Jr., "I've Been to the Mountaintop" and it's about time that I did so. I've also read some of the book of Amos in the old Testament, the prophet who reminded Israel that God desired justice for those suffering mistreatment over their shows of religion. Amos and Martin Luther King, Jr. were both men used by God for the times they lived in and we can still learn from them today. Their waters are still rolling.
