Tonight my husband and I went to see the movie, "Risen," and we can't recommend it enough. It may not be perfect, but it's compelling. The acting is good (Joseph Fiennes is excellent), as well as the production values. There is even some humor, although Mary Magdalene gets portrayed once again as a loose woman, something not found in Scripture, and Bartholomew seems like a hang loose, goofy sort of guy. Overall it is still worth seeing.
