In backyard and school lot baseball games, I was always the last one picked for a team; and that unfortunate team then would be granted first ups to help level the playing field. My usual position was so far out in the outfield that I could see Russia from there, such as it was. Still, I love the game, because I love people who love the game. I know too that there will a day, some glorious day, when I will cross home plate and claim my victory in Jesus! Amazing grace, He picked me for His team!
