Piano Lessons

Isaiah 52:7

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"

Some good folks gave my folks years ago an old upright piano, probably figuring a family as big as ours would get use out of it.   I learned how to play chopsticks.   I'm sure we all learned how to play chopsticks, however, only one sister really learned to play the piano.   She became a missionary pastor's wife, so what my parents spent on lessons was well spent, considering how pastors' wives were expected to play.   Through the years, she faithfully followed her husband to tiny churches playing hymns, bringing the good news, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  They are retired from the ministry now, if ministers ever really retire.  I believe pastors' wives won't be expected to play the piano in Heaven, but can play if they want to do so.   Play on, good sister, play on.
