Were You There?

Isaiah 40:26
The Message (MSG)
25-26 “So—who is like me?
Who holds a candle to me?” says The Holy.
Look at the night skies:
Who do you think made all this?
Who marches this army of stars out each night,
counts them off, calls each by name
—so magnificent! so powerful!—
and never overlooks a single one?
Sometimes I wonder why I ever argue with God.  I know He is God and I am not, but still I rebel against the very one who gave me life and breath.  I'm not always that way; but when I am, because He knows and loves me, He brings me back in the fold.  I am thankful He doesn't leave me to my own devices, and I love being His forgiven child.  Unfortunately, this world we live in is in an almost constant state of rebellion against God and even God's people.  We are expected to be tolerant of everything but intolerance, even if it goes contrary to the Word of God.  How long will God forbear with His creation shaking its fist in the face of their Creator?  I don't know, but sometimes it causes me to tremble.
