A Grandfather's Comfort
Isaiah 46:4
New International Version (NIV)
4 Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
My grandfather smoked a pipe and still today I love its smell. My grandmother eventually helped him to quit by leaving a dish of lemon drops by his chair. Either one, lemon drops or pipe tobacco, bring my grandfather to mind and the memories are sweet. I'm so blessed to have them.
