My God, My Protector

Behold, there is a place by Me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while My glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a cleft of the rock, and will cover thee with My hand while I pass by.” (Exodus 33:21,22)
"He Hideth My Soul - Brian Fee and Assurance

What a comfort!  My soul is safely hidden in the cleft of the rock and covered by God's own hand.  Just as Moses in his imperfect state had to be protected from seeing the glory of God, so must I be protected.  One day I will see the glory of God, but until that day, I am allowed to see where God has been.   Even this little house under the weeping willow tree was prepared for my family to live in, before I knew it would be needed.  I suspect that I still won't know all the ways He has protected me while I walk this earth, but I'm thankful that He does.

He Hideth My Soul - Fanny Crosby

Refrain:
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock
That shadows a dry, thirsty land;
He hideth my life with the depths of His love,
And covers me there with His hand,
And covers me there with His hand.

A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,
A wonderful Savior to me;
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock,
Where rivers of pleasure I see.

Refrain

A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,
He taketh my burden away;
He holdeth me up, and I shall not be moved,
He giveth me strength as my day.

Refrain

With numberless blessings each moment He crowns,
And filled with His fullness divine,
I sing in my rapture, oh, glory to God
For such a Redeemer as mine!

Refrain

When clothed in His brightness, transported I rise
To meet Him in clouds of the sky,
His perfect salvation, His wonderful love
I'll shout with the millions on high.

Refrain
