Washed In the Blood

Isaiah 53:5
New International Version (NIV)
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
    and by his wounds we are healed.
Isaiah 53:6
New International Version (NIV)
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
    each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
    the iniquity of us all.

1 John 1:7
King James Version (KJV)
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 John 1:9
New King James Version (NKJV)
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
When it feels like I'll be forever doing laundry, I need to take time to be thankful for my God's laundromat.  No matter how many times I fall down into mud, mired in sin, He picks me up and dresses me with a freshly prepared garment.  It's a whole lot of confessing; it's a whole lot of laundry, wholly paid for by the blood of the Lamb, no quarters needed.
